Wouldn't you rather have a RWD Tesla Model S?

So, with the exception of the electrified drive train, how exactly does this car compete against the Model S?

It's a compact coupe two-door EREV. It's not even in the same category as the Model S, so why does everyone keep comparing the two vehicles?

I don't like Cadillac Coupes. In the words of Chris Bangle, proportions and flame surfacing bitch!!! (now its called layered surfacing, a softer version of flame surfacing)

Mainly because cost, electrification, and luxury name plate/

Price mainly, but especially when you consider price for an economical electric driven car.

I like the ELR, but for the money I'd get a Model S. Of course, if I thought I needed the range extension of the ELR I'd take the ELR.

I'll keep my Chrome comments to myself BUT is it just a glorified Volt? We need to know!

But that's basically like comparing two wholly different vehicles because they have engines.

If there was an XTS electric vehicle, I could see it. But as it is, the ELR doesn't really compete against anything. It's a slightly faster, upmarket Volt. I guess it competes against the i3? Or it would if it didn't cost so much.

It seems to be competing against nothing, if I'm honest with you.
